Cougar (クーガー) is a golfer that was first introduced in the Japanese and European versions of Hot Shots Golf 2. He was one of the three unlockable boss golfers in the game, with the other two being Layla and Vader. Cougar as a caddie makes a return in the Japanese version of Hot Shots Golf 3 as an unlockable caddie yet. Cougar as a caddie and golfer makes a return in Minna No Golf Online as a unlockable caddie yet and unlockable golfer yet. Cougar makes a return in the Japanese and European versions of Hot Shots Golf Fore! as an unlockable character yet again. In the American version of Hot Shots Golf 3, His North American counterpart is known as Cougar.
