Mel (メル) is a golfer that was first introduced in Hot Shots Golf 2. He is one of the three default characters in the game, with the other two being Sam and Cedric. Mel as a caddie makes a return in the North American version of Hot Shots Golf 3 as an unlockable caddie yet. Mel makes a return in the North American version of Hot Shots Golf Fore! character yet again. He is one of the four default characters in the game, with the other three being Phoebe, Mike, and Tiffany. In the Japanese versions of Hot Shots Golf 2, Hot Shots Golf 3, and Hot Shots Golf Fore!, he is replaced by Suzuki.
